Cyprus to send Hovig Demirjian to Eurovision

Hovig participated in the 2009 edition of the Greek version of The X Factor

Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has announced Hovig Demirjian will represent Cyprus at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Cyprus will continue their cooperation with Swedish hit maker Thomas G:Son. The song is yet to be announced.

Hovig was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, and is of Armenian descent. He participated in the Greek version of The X Factor in 2009, together with Ivi Adamou. He released several singles and toured in Greece, the Middle East and Russia.
